In 2014 the DR Danish Chamber Orchestra had their 75th anniversary. However, 2014 also became the year in which DR, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, decided to close the orchestra for budget reasons. Since 2015, it has been Denmark’s only major independent orchestra, owned and governed by its musicians.

With an international reputation, the orchestra plays everything from classical to pop music for young and old.
